Ashley Arnold - AMDA Tap Jazz and Ballet Instructor


In 2002, Ashley graduated from State University of New York at Fredonia with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in the field of Dance Therapy. Throughout her four years at SUNY Fredonia she studied and trained under various professional choreographers such as Elisa Monte and the Paul Taylor Company. Ashley completed her undergraduate internship at the Summerton School of Dance in Buffalo, New York.

Ashley was a member of Orchesis, SUNY Fredonia's student dance company and served as its Treasurer for 3 years. She produced and created the choreography for student productions that were performed by underclassman throughout her 4 years. Through Orchesis, Ashley performed in community and charity events in and throughout the Buffalo region.

After graduation she returned to the Capital District area to re-establish her love of teaching.

Prior to her attending college, Ashley, from the early age of 3, was a student of Marge Tynan's. While in high school, Ashley studied under Marge Tynan and learned dance instruction through teaching tap, jazz and beginning ballet to students age 3 to adults.

Ashley is employed by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation as the Program Coordinator for the New York State Empire State Games. She plans on pursuing her Masters Degree in Dance Therapy.
