Congratulations AMDA Dance Company Members

AMDA would like to congratulate two of our Dance Company members who have been accepted into the NYSSSA Summer Dance Program (New York State Summer School of the Arts). The girls auditioned at the National Museum of Dance in Saratoga in January. Hundreds of dancers through out the state auditioned but only 35 dancers were chosen to participate. Our dancers were two of them! The girls will be staying at Skidmore College in Saratoga for the month of July and taking classes at the Dance Museum where they will have the opportunity to work with other young dancers from around the state as well as an amazing faculty which will educate them further on modern dance technique, ballet technique, lead discussion regarding the field of dance and careers in dance, music and dance, composition, repertory and performance etc. In August the program will conclude with an end of the summer workshop performance! What and fun and exciting time for these young dancers. We wish them the best of luck and to enjoy every learning experience that is offered to them over those 4 weeks away this summer. We are all so proud of you!!
