Dr. Deb Rutledge

Dr. Deb Rutledge began her dance training under the direction of Barbara Tebeau. She graduated cum laude from Ohio University, with a BFA in Dance. While in Ohio, she studied under Gladys Balin, Doug Elkins. Mark Haim, Terre O'Connor and others. Her choreography has been presented at universities and community centers in New York and Ohio. Deb began her professional career with the Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company where she created many roles. She went on to become apart of Maude Baum and Company/eba Dance Theatre where she worked as performer, Arts-In-Education curriculum developer and grant writer. Deb began performing as a soloist with Nacre Dance in 2005 where she has had the opportunity to perform works by Isadora Duncan, Charles Widman, Ted Shawn, and Doris Humphrey to name a few. She has been a guest artist, as both performer and choreographer, with the Youth Ballet Company and Adirondack Ballet Theatre. She served as ballet and modern instructor for the RPI Dance Club, and as a senior faculty member at the eba Center for Dance. Deb has also served on faculty and as guest performer for the School of Arts at the National Museum of Dance. Deb recently received her Doctor of Physical Therapy and is currently employed at The Center For Disability Services as a neurodevelopmental rehabilitation specialist.
