Cenzia Zhang: Ballet & Modern

Cenzia Zhang grew up in Albany dancing with Eleanor's School of Dance, Capital District Arts Initiative (CDAI) and the School of the Albany Berkshire Ballet. She danced competitively throughout high school where she placed and received various Judges Awards both at regionals and nationals.

Throughout college, Cenzia has continued her dance journey through area classes and choreographic opportunities. She has performed with Nacre Dance Group's, Nutcracker as Dew Drop and So You Think You Can Choreograph to among others. In addition, Cenzia has toured with the Albany Berkshire Ballet's Nutcracker, and performed for area benefits including Nacre's Sip, Savor and Swirl and with EBA at the Albany Wine and Dine For The Arts.

Cenzia has continued to further her dance education through classes, summer intensives and workshops at the Paul Taylor Dance Company, Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory, the School of the Albany Berkshire Ballet, Steps on Broadway in NYC and Dance Works of Wilton with Christine Otto and David Otto, who danced with the New York City Ballet. This is Cenzia’s first year teaching at AMDA!
